The South African Weather Service has issued multiple yellow level warnings across parts of the country, including for severe thunderstorms over Gauteng, Mpumalanga, the Free State, Limpopo, and North West. Risks include localised flooding, damaging winds, hail, and excessive lightning.

Along the coast, warnings are also in place for damaging winds and waves, posing risks to small craft and coastal activities. Extremely high fire danger conditions have been flagged in western and central regions, where hot and windy weather could allow fires to spread rapidly.
