The Constitutional Court has refused to hear an appeal from Capital Newspapers and Caxton over the Media24 merger, paving the way for the deal to proceed. The applicants had sought to challenge the merger, which involves Media24’s sale of its logistics business and community newspapers to Novus.

The Court dismissed the appeal, citing no reasonable prospects of success and ordering costs against the applicants.
