Border officials at Beitbridge say parents who send children across the South Africa-Zimbabwe border without documents could face criminal charges and possible jail time, as enforcement tightens against the illegal movement of minors.

eNCA reports more than 50 undocumented children were intercepted in January, including a minibus stopped with 33 minors aged between 4 and 15. The Border Management Authority says facilitators will be arrested and face charges under the Immigration Act.
