Two people were killed and three others injured in a shooting outside Booysens Magistrate’s Court in Johannesburg on Tuesday, with the Justice Ministry confirming five people were shot as police secured the scene.

Police say the group was at court to support an accused in a murder and attempted murder case, when three gunmen opened fire and fled. One of the injured was identified as the accused’s lawyer.
