Two Russian Police Officers Killed In Moscow Blast

Two Russian traffic police officers were killed in an overnight explosion in southern Moscow on 24 December, Russia’s Investigative Committee said. Reports said officers approached a person acting suspiciously when an explosive device detonated, also killing a third person.

The blast happened near the site of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov’s assassination earlier in the week. Authorities have opened a criminal investigation.
