Two Russian traffic police officers were killed in an overnight explosion in southern Moscow on 24 December, Russia’s Investigative Committee said. Reports said officers approached a person acting suspiciously when an explosive device detonated, also killing a third person.
The blast happened near the site of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov’s assassination earlier in the week. Authorities have opened a criminal investigation.
