At least 41 people have died after days of relentless rain triggered widespread flooding and landslides across central and southcentral Vietnam. Authorities have evacuated tens of thousands as forecasters warning of more heavy rain tomorrow.

Over 52 000 homes have been flooded and major roads cut off, while tourist centres such as Hue and Hoi An have been battered by record downpours. Officials say this is among the country’s most severe flood seasons in years.
