Crews worked through the night to stop the fire spreading toward Touwsrivier as aerial and ground teams secured lower flanks.

Additional flare ups near Wolseley and Ceres were contained, with mop-up operations continuing. Hot, dry, and windy conditions have kept the province in a high-fire phase, with officials urging residents to report any vegetation fires immediately.
