According to the Social Research Foundation (SRF), amongst all voters just 27% said Trump would be good for South Africa with 61% saying he would not.

The data showed a rare split across demographics (South Africans are usually closely allied on key poll questions across race lines).

Amongst black voters 20% viewed Trump as a positive for South Africa. Among white voters the figure was 55%.

Views were more aligned across party lines with just 13% of ANC voters, and 35% of DA voters seeing Trump as a positive for South Africa.
