Bournemouth v Everton, prediction: Bournemouth 2-1 Everton

Bournemouth sit in mid table with 19 points from 13 games and have quietly made the Vitality a difficult away day. Everton’s away form remains patchy, with too many goals conceded once matches open up after the hour mark. As we have stated before Everton have real quality in Ndiaye and Grealish but lack the same in the rest of the team.

Fulham v Manchester City, prediction: Fulham 1-3 Manchester City

City arrive off that wild 3-2 win over Leeds where Phil Foden scored inside the first minute and then again in second-half stoppage time to drag them over the line. Fulham come in with their tails up after a 2-1 win at Spurs, hanging on after going 2-0 up early. Fulham fans look away as City have won the last five meetings and scored at least two in each of their last 19 games against Fulham.

Arsenal v Brentford, prediction: Arsenal 3-0 Brentford

Arsenal top the table and a goal difference of plus 18 and have already amassed seven clean sheets this season. Although Arsenal lost their first-ever Premier League meeting with the Bees in 2021, they are now unbeaten in seven against them and we expect this pattern to continue.

Brighton v Aston Villa, prediction: Brighton 1-2 Aston Villa

Brighton are fifth and just two points behind Villa, having won three of their last four whilst Villa’s record is even more impressive having won five in a row in all competitions. These are 2 teams who have punched above their weight for the past few seasons and we expect them to go toe to toe with not much between them.

Burnley v Crystal Palace, prediction: Burnley 1-2 Crystal Palace

Burnley are stuck near the bottom and keep finding ways to lose tight games, often through lapses in their own box rather than being comprehensively outplayed. Palace, by contrast, are sitting in the top half and have become one of the more efficient mid table sides at turning chances into points. A lot of this is down to the fact they have a proven goal scorer in Mateta who could easily be the match winner. What Burnley would do have someone like him in their squad.

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Nottingham Forest, prediction: Wolves 0-2 Nottingham Forest

Forest sit in the lower mid table, currently 16th, but their individual attacking numbers are far superior than Wolves. Morgan Gibbs-White is Forest’s leading league scorer this season and remains their main creative hub in the final third. Forest have big statement results in the having beaten Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield and Leeds 3-1 at home this season. Wolves aren’t woeful, they just struggle to score, have a goal difference of negative-21 and they seem to be experts at losing tight games.

Leeds v Chelsea, prediction: Leeds 1-3 Chelsea

Leeds’s return to the top flight has been bumpy and defensive lapses keep dragging them back toward the danger zone. Chelsea on the other hand have been looking better week on week and ground out a 1-1 draw against the best team in the prem this season with 10 men for a large chunk of the match. Chelsea average close to six shots on target per match compared to Leeds’s three, and their expected goals numbers consistently sit above two per ninety minutes, so we expect Chelsea to dominate.

Liverpool v Sunderland, prediction: Liverpool 2-0 Sunderland

Liverpool’s season has been volatile, but they are still creating chances, averaging 17 shots a game. Their finishing has let them down! Sunderland couldn’t have dreamed for a better start to their premier league return. They sit sixth and produced a stunning 3-2 comeback win over Bournemouth last week. However, Sunderland create far fewer chances than Liverpool, and we expect Isak to kick on from his first Premier league goal for Liverpool on Sunday which should help Liverpool climb the log.

Manchester United v West Ham, prediction: Manchester United 3-1 West Ham

Predicting a United game at this point is pretty much a flip of a coin. Terrible vs Everton but much improved against Palace and still are too reliant on individual moments rather than solid team performances. West Ham remain dangerous from set pieces and United often look vulnerable when the ball is in their box. United have been good at Old Trafford, winning four out of their last five and we think it could be five from six with United goals coming from moments of magic but who knows?

Game of the Week: Newcastle v Tottenham, prediction: Newcastle 1-2 Tottenham

Newcastle come in on a real high after a 4-1 mauling of Everton at St James Park, probably their most complete performance of the season. Spurs, by contrast, have just lost 2-1 at home to Fulham, their 10th home league defeat of 2025, with Guglielmo Vicario and co booed after a first half howler. The head-to-head at St James Park is ugly for Spurs, with Newcastle winning 2-0 in the EFL Cup this season and league scorelines of 2-1, 4-0, and 6-1 in the last three home meetings. However, Spurs are magnificently unpredictable and we feel that they may come back to London with all 3 points.
