Namibia has raised objections to South Africa’s planned expansion of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, warning that the scheme is reducing downstream flows in the Orange River and harming its water security.

Windhoek has reportedly withheld a required no objection letter, escalating tensions with South Africa as regional authorities assess the impact on shared water resources.
