In a major operation led by the Hawks, six investment scammers and 25 call centre agents were arrested in Johannesburg on Tuesday. The suspects, aged between 38 and 61, are accused of running a fraudulent investment scheme, violating financial services regulations.

The arrests are part of a wider global effort, with further investigations underway into the syndicate’s activities.
