A teenage boy is in critical condition after a shark attack at a harbour beach in Sydney’s eastern suburbs. Emergency services were called to the Hermitage Foreshore Walk near Shark Beach in Vaucluse on Sunday afternoon.

Police and bystanders pulled the boy from the water, and paramedics treated severe leg injuries before he was taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick. Authorities have warned swimmers to avoid murky harbour waters after heavy rain.
