Police in Limpopo are searching for a suspect after a white Jeep Gladiator worth about R1.3 million was found abandoned on the N1 near a weighbridge. The bakkie had been reported stolen in the Westernburg area of Polokwane.

Members of the Mahwelereng Flying Squad traced the vehicle after an alert was issued, but the driver fled before officers arrived. The Jeep has been taken to Mokopane police station while police appeal for information to help track down the thief.
