Kouga Municipality Issues Evacuation Order as Fire Spreads

Kouga Local Municipality issued an urgent evacuation order on Thursday, calling on residents to leave the Zwartenbosch area as a fast-moving fire burned along the R330 towards Hankey.

Officials said flames were on both sides of the road, with multiple areas affected and emergency teams deployed. Road closures and diversions were reported as the situation continued to develop.
