Three men have been arrested in Bloemfontein after police intercepted an alleged illegal deal involving an endangered pangolin on the N8. Authorities say the suspects were apprehended following intelligence about a planned wildlife transaction.

The men are expected to appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on charges related to possession and trafficking of a protected species. The pangolin was recovered alive and placed in the care of conservation officials.
