Johannesburg Metro Police have arrested 173 motorists for drunk driving in just one week during intensified festive season operations across the city. The arrests were made as part of ongoing roadblocks and patrols aimed at improving road safety.

Police have warned that drunk driving remains one of the biggest risks on Johannesburg roads over the festive period and say enforcement will continue at high intensity.
