ActionSA has confirmed that its mayoral candidate in Ekurhuleni, Councillor Xolani Khumalo, was present during a police raid on a suspected drug den in Windsor East, which resulted in the fatal shooting of a 45‑year‑old man.

The raid was part of efforts to combat drug trafficking in the area. Police are investigating the circumstances of the death.
