The KwaZulu-Natal High Court has ruled in favour of Capitec Bank, ordering Mountain Meadow Investments and its director, Jivesh Rajendran Pather, to pay more than R2.1 million plus interest and costs after defaults on a loan and overdraft facility.

The court heard the facilities were originally concluded with Mercantile Bank in August 2022 and the company stopped paying in October 2023. The judge found no valid defence was raised.
