The DA has accused the South African government of being “politically selective” in its foreign policy after Pretoria condemned the United States for its operation in Venezuela and called for an urgent UN Security Council meeting.

The DA said the ANC government invokes international law aggressively against Washington while having muted responses to Russia’s actions in Ukraine, arguing this inconsistency undermines South Africa’s credibility and exposes ideological bias in its diplomacy.
