DStv subscribers could lose up to 12 channels from 1 January after MultiChoice and Warner Bros Discovery failed to agree on a new carriage deal. Channels at risk include Discovery, TLC, CNN, Cartoon Network, and other popular lifestyle and kids’ offerings.

MultiChoice says negotiations are ongoing but has not guaranteed the channels will remain. The possible cuts come as DStv faces growing pressure from cheaper streaming rivals.
