A landfill collapse in Barangay Binaliw in Cebu City sent an avalanche of garbage into a nearby area used by recycling workers, killing one person and injuring several others, according to local authorities.

Cebu City officials said at least 12 people have been rescued, while 38 remain missing as search teams continue operations under strict safety conditions at the site.
