Three people were killed and five others injured after lightning struck a church service held inside a tent in Radimana village in Limpopo. The incident happened during heavy rain and thunderstorms in the early hours of Sunday.

Police said the injured were taken to a nearby health facility for treatment. An inquest docket has been opened as authorities investigate the circumstances.
