Limpopo Police Sergeant Charged After Fatal Shooting Of Brother-In-Law

A Limpopo police sergeant has been charged with murder after fatally shooting her brother-in-law at her home in Groblersdal. Sergeant Salome Kgoroba, stationed in the Sekhukhune District, appeared in the Groblersdal Magistrates Court and will return on todayfor a formal bail application.

Police say Kgoroba fired several shots after hearing her door open in the early hours of the morning, believing an intruder had entered. She later discovered she had shot her brother-in-law and rushed him to hospital, where he died of his injuries. IPID has taken over the investigation.
