Madlanga Commission Continues With Ekurhuleni Evidence

The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry sat again in Pretoria today as it continued hearing evidence on alleged political interference and corruption in the criminal justice system. Parts of the session were held in camera while the panel reviewed material linked to wrongdoing in Ekurhuleni.

Recent witnesses have described alleged misuse of Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department resources and claimed that senior officials were shielded from accountability through political protection.
