Police in Polokwane opened an inquest after a man was found dead between two mini-electrical substations in Ladanna on Saturday morning.

SAPS said cut cables and tools were found at the scene, and the man is believed to have been electrocuted while attempting to steal high-voltage cables. The deceased has not yet been identified, and investigations continue.
