State cybercrime specialist Brigadier Janine Steynberg testified in the Durban High Court today in the July 2021 unrest case against Duduzile Zuma-Sambudla. She told the court that before February 2021 Zuma-Sambudla’s social media posts were mostly family focused, but the tone shifted sharply around her father’s arrest.

Steynberg also said several unrest related posts were later deleted. The defence has challenged parts of her analysis and is pushing for an independent expert review as the trial continues.
