US President Donald Trump said tariffs on some South Korean imports would rise from 15.0% to 25.0%, citing delays by South Korea’s legislature in ratifying a trade framework agreed in 2025.

Seoul said it had not received formal notice, and officials prepared emergency talks with Washington as markets weighed the risk to major exporters, including autos and pharmaceuticals.
