Jacob Zuma and the MK Party have suffered another legal setback as the Pretoria High Court dismissed their challenge to Senzo Mchunu’s special leave and the legality of the Madlanga Commission. Judges found President Cyril Ramaphosa acted within his constitutional powers.

The ruling marks the MK Party’s third defeat on the issue this year. Courts have repeatedly held that Ramaphosa’s decisions were rational and properly grounded in law.
