Fire crews in Mossel Bay are still battling flare ups and hotspots after a vegetation fire swept across parts of the Garden Route, with winds continuing to complicate mop up efforts.

Authorities say the fire has been brought under control, but firefighters remain deployed in areas including Aalwyndal, Island View, and Vakansieplaas as containment lines are monitored and smoke conditions shift.
