Five people were killed when a Greyhound passenger bus overturned on the R33 between eMkhondo and Amsterdam in Mpumalanga on Monday afternoon. Authorities say the driver appears to have lost control, causing the vehicle to leave the road.

The Road Traffic Management Corporation reports that six passengers were seriously injured and around two dozen others sustained minor injuries. Wet road conditions are suspected to have contributed, and the exact cause is under investigation.
