The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms, with damaging hail and localised flooding possible across many interior regions on Friday.

KwaZulu-Natal is expected to be hot and humid, with storm risk higher in the west. Residents in warned areas have been urged to monitor updates and avoid low lying roads during heavy downpours.
