The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial resumed in the Pretoria High Court today as the defence pressed ahead with testimony from witness Absalom Zungu. The case centres on the 2014 killing of Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa, who was shot at the home of his girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo, in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni.

Proceedings follow a chaotic session on Thursday after accused number five, Fisokuhle Ntuli, arrived late and alleged he had been assaulted by prison officials. Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng ordered that he receive medical treatment so the trial could continue.
