A Johannesburg woman says her bank account was emptied while she lay sedated in hospital after being thrown from a moving car during a crime incident. She alleges her phone was stolen and transfers were made soon after.

Standard Bank disputes her claim, saying the transactions were properly authenticated under its systems. The woman says she has opened a case and is contesting the decision.
